Going through my wardrobe has been a feat, however, I finally feel like it is down to pieces I know and love and will continue wearing until I ruin them (which is bound to happen.) There are a few pieces I am looking to replace and I've started a list for when I'm in Europe. I leave in 10 days and counting! I cannot wait. I'll be gone for 3 weeks so I won't be blogging then but stay tuned for Instagram updates. I can't wait to share my trip with you when I'm back! Here's my list of things I either need to add to my closet or need to replace:
- Black Trousers (replace)
- White Jeans, wide legged and cropped (want, don't necessarily need)
- White Button Up Blouse (replace)
- Light Sweater for layering (replace)
- Sandals (need for summer)
- Flat Mules (need for summer)
- Midi Skirt/Midi Dresses (need for summer & work)
Those are my main pieces I would like to add to my closet. I've been reading more and more about having a 'capsule' collection for your wardrobe and I really couldn't agree more. People get so invested in trends and pieces that will probably only be worn for a season that it is really effecting the environment. That's why I wanted to share this outfit post today, with pieces from my closet that I have had for some time! Hope you enjoy and get inspired to do something similar with your closet.
I bought this blouse from Aritzia over 2 years ago, specifically for my thesis defence. I can't believe I have been finished school for that long. Time really does fly. I always reach for this blouse for more dressy occasions or for work. I rarely wear it with denim but I love how this outfit came together. I can definitely see myself wearing it again with flat sandals this summer. I like how a simple outfit like a white blouse and a favourite pair of jeans can be elevated through the accessories you wear with it. I have never been one to wear a belt with my jeans. However, this new trend of high-waisted, straight leg jeans that are a bit looser, look best when worn with a belt in my opinion. This belt is a classic leather belt with a surprising buckle that has a Western feel to it. I really like how it completes a look and I definitely plan on wearing it over some floral midi dresses this summer too.
