So I might be a full blown Glossier addict now...I have never been one to stick with a brand of makeup, I'm always testing out different mascaras or face masks. However, when I first started seeing Glossier's products I was instantly intrigued, not only by their minimalist style but how few products they had. I really appreciated this because to be honest, nothing stresses me out more than walking into a Sephora. Their products are amazing and they literally have everything but I have no idea where to look or what to buy half the time. Even online shopping on their site is intense, the only thing I get excited about is getting my free samples. I think that's why it's fair to say me and Glossier really clicked. My first purchase was the Balm Dot Com trio pack, one for me and the others as gifts and then my love for their brand blossomed. I now have quite the collection of their products but I continue to love everything I've bought and I usually reach to their products when thinking about gifts for friends.
Boy Brow in Blonde
I remember when one of my good guy friends looked at me when I was in high school and said: 'Do you even have eyebrows?' Well needless to say, I did and I still do have brows but they are very fair. I never thought twice about them until the big brow trend came around courtesy of Cara Delevigne and I wanted those brows. Cue my favourite Glossier product Boy Brow. I think this is probably everyone's favourite product that has tried it too. It makes you look like you have brows all the while not looking like you painted them on. The brush is like a small mascara brush and helps brush your brows into the bushy big brows that are very in style, still to this day. I love this look and I often find if I use this product I will lean on a lighter face of makeup, just mascara, blush and a little lip colour.
Lidstar in Moon and Slip
As I have mentioned to you before, I am not much of a makeup person, well until I discovered Glossier. They recently came out with eyeshadow that they launched by using it on Oscar nominees. Really the best marketing scheme ever. The shiny lids of the stars were noticeable to many as they were seen across social media and I was intrigued. I had a palette someone had given to me 3 years ago and I knew it was time to get rid of it. I like eyeshadow but I like just a little bit of sparkle not a full blown smokey eye, so this was the product for me. I always bought a couple as gifts for a friend and my mum. They come in a small tube which is great for travel and they last all day, even through a workout. No fuss and no mess, my sort of makeup!
As I mentioned in my skincare post I love a face mask no matter what kind. I decided after reading some great reviews to purchase this moisturizing mask from Glossier. It comes as a pair with a detoxifying mask but I just wanted and needed a moisturizing one. I use it every Sunday after my weekly bubble bath and long distance run. I love my Sunday night ritual and this Moon Mask definitely makes it better. Don't get me wrong I am excited to use my sheet masks from Sephora on the plane to London, but having a cream mask is great. It is always available to use for that extra bit of moisture and it's also easier on the environment with no disposing of masks.
Generation G Lipstick (+gloss)
This lipstick was sort of a mishap. I had originally ordered a trio of Balm Dot Com lip balms for me and gifts for friends when Glossier sent me this lipstick. I emailed them immediately and they apologized, told me to keep it and also sent me my original order. I got really lucky, but it also made me realize they were a great company for doing something like that. I was pleasantly surprised by this gifted lipstick. It looks more like a stain, as if you have blotted your lips after applying fresh lipstick. This makes it look a little less done up, which I prefer. It also came with a lip gloss that you can pair with it to wear on top. The combination is a shiny, high gloss finish that I love.
Balm Dot Com
After the Boy Brow, the Balm Dot Com lip salve is my favourite product. This is my go to for everything. I always have it on me because it gives your lips a little sheen to looked pulled together but also some moisture. In those really cold and dry months I was using it on any dry spots on my face and on my cuticles when I thought of it. It really is a good beauty tool to have on hand for lots of things. I have the Rose flavour, which I love the scent of. I bought my friend the Birthday flavour, which she loves because of the sparkles in it and another friend the Cherry one, which has a red tone to it.
If I were to recommend any Glossier products to my friends or family it would definitely be these. My favourites are my Balm Dot Com lipgloss and Boy Brow but I get use out of each and every product I have purchased.
