A few weekends ago Dave and I headed to Victoria to catch up with friends and family. While we were downtown shopping we managed to squeeze an afternoon coffee break with my mum in and the sun was shinning through our corner table. We stopped in at Habit for Cappuccinos and London Fogs and decided it was a great place for a quick fashion shoot. It was also the perfect pick me up to keep our shopping going. We were on the hunt for hiking apparel for the Camino de Santiago walk. I'm so excited to share our hiking adventure with you guys after we have completed it. We're planning on going at the end of May for two weeks through Portugal up into Spain. It is going to be difficult at times but something I have always wanted to do.
I can't wait for the weather to get a little bit warmed and I can wear this blouse more often (with less layers on top!) While we were in Pattaya visiting my sister I stopped in at Topshop at one of the shopping malls there and picked this top up. I loved the navy colour with the vibrant red lip print that paired so well together. The ruffle details and the tie around the waist make it a very feminine and playful top. I have been wearing it with my dark skinny jeans lately but here I decided to pair it with a looser pair of jeans with the raw hem to balance out the girliness of the top. I wore my trusty wool jacket over top and my navy velvet booties that I cannot get enough of. I bought them two Christmases ago in the sales in Dublin and they are still my favourite pair of shoes. I think when the weather starts to warm up this top would look great paired with a distressed pair of denim shorts and some slip on flats.
