I might be a few weeks late with this post, Halloween has come and gone, but I had to share our trip to the Michells Farm Pumpkin Patch! Every year no matter what the weather we head to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving. Dave, Anna, Devon and I had a great time picking pumpkins, especially with the beautiful sunshine we had that day! I chose two small pumpkins to work with, whereas Dave went for the unripe pumpkin that was still green for a unique pumpkin piece. This year we didn’t celebrate Halloween by dressing up, after all it was on a Wednesday and I didn’t have any costumes planned. However, a few weeks after we got our pumpkins, we carved them and watched the first episode of the new Sabrina the Teenage Witch for some spooky fun.
I’m not too sure about Sabrina the Teenage Witch yet. I was very excited that Netflix had decided to do a remake but I wasn’t sold on the first episode, plus it was way more scary than the old one from my childhood. I think I might download it on my phone for the flight and give it another go though. With the cold and dark nights I have been spending more time watching TV then I do in the summer, catching up on some of my old favourites. However, I am not as into Riverdale anymore, I think it got way too dark way too quickly and it’s hard to believe what’s happening to Archie and his fellow classmates in this season. I will keep trying to watch it but it’s not at the top of my list right now. My new favourite show is Schitts Creek, it is hilarious! After finishing Arrested Development from the beginning Dave and I were lost on what to watch, other then This Is Us, which we love but I find I get pretty bummed after I watch too many episodes. My friend Dani suggested Schitts Creek and I love it! We’ve already made it through the first season.
For our trip to the pumpkin patch, I of course did not dress appropriately because where is the fun in that! I had just bought the new booties I’m wearing in this photo shoot and I love them more than any shoe I have ever owned (I know it is a bold statement!) I bought them during Bay Days and got them 30% off, which made them that much better. They are Circus by Sam Edelman and I love wearing them with everything! They instantly make an outfit look that much more chic. I wore them with my grey skinny jeans from Topshop and a striped mock turtleneck from Flavour that I bought a few years back. I thought the look was perfect topped off with my favourite hat from Free People. A fashionable outfit that I definitely plan on repeating while I am in Europe. I’ve started a list of my favourite outfits I’ve worn lately so it makes packing easier.
What do you do when it really starts to feel like winter? I’m not only binging Netflix shows don’t worry. I have been working on a few custom macrame pieces for friends, which I’m excited about. As well as baking, like always and working out to counteract the baking I’m doing. I just sort of feel that this time of year can sometimes be draining on us and I am definitely feeling less inspired than I usually do.
