Je Suis A Vous
I wasn't going to blog today because I'm just feeling sort of out of it. However, I decided it would be the perfect day to share this amazingly bright wall that I made Dave walk through Portland, across a bridge to find. If you haven't noticed I have a thing with walls and I always try to scope out colourful ones for photos when I am traveling and this was on the list when we were in Portland.
If you aren't living in BC or haven't seen the news then you may not have heard that we had a Tsunami warning last night, well really early this am. Living in Ucluelet, you have to be aware that this could happen and last night was the first time we had to evacuate since moving here. I quickly realized we aren't as prepared as I would like to be so I am going to work on that. Luckily the tsunami never hit and we were sent back to the comfort of our warm beds. I am feeling very hazy and out of it today but also very thankful to be able to write this and for all of my readers to be able to read this. I hope that everyone reading this realizes how much I appreciate them and make sure to tell your loved ones that you love them and be grateful to be healthy today.
Now that I said all that let's talk about this outfit fashion post. I recently turned 30 so for my 30th birthday Dave took me to Portland. It was an amazing weekend and I can't wait to share with you what we did, where we ate and how much we loved it! It was such a beautiful city and the people were lovely. I was so excited to dress for this trip that I probably over packed but I love dressing up in the city or dressing down like I did here.
While we were in Thailand we did some shopping (obviously) and I picked up these white Nike sneakers. I have been on the black Nike sneaker train for so long I never thought I would go for an all white shoe. However, when I saw them I fell in love and didn't buy them right away that I made Dave go back with me to get them another day. They are so comfortable and I love pairing them with skinny jeans like I did here for a casual day look. But also with fun and flirty dresses, which I did in Thailand. I can't wait to wear them this spring and summer too. This outfit came together really well with a wool Topshop coat I got last year in London, a Topshop casual striped long sleeve, my Topshop dark frayed denim and another new addition to my wardrobe, my Danish backpack. My sister gave it to me for my birthday this year and I have not stopped using it. It is so versatile and can hold so much, I am in love. Some days even a casual outfit can look perfect pulled together with the right accessories.
