My brother-in-law's Uncle lives in a town close to Pattaya called Sattahip. After we recovered from our jet lag we went to meet him and his wife and have a feast. We went to a small hotel that an Italian man (from Milano) and his wife own. They have a sort of hobby restaurant let's call it. He loves to cook (like my dad and me,) and so when there is someone who wants to eat, he will cook whatever you want. He made us plates of pasta, pizza, meats, salads and his wife made us Thai food to go along with it. Needless to say we were pretty full after the feast, however, they had to top it off with the most amazing homemade gelato. I love gelato and when I am in Italy I eat it every day if I have the option so when I tasted this I was so impressed and surprised by how good it was. We had it again for Christmas dessert, so I made sure I had plenty of space left to enjoy it.
After spending hours at the restaurant/hotel eating we decided it was time to adventure around the town. We were trying to find the beach but sadly did not succeed. However, we did come upon this beautiful little temple tucked away. It had the most magnificent view of the sea. We walked around enjoying the beautiful architecture and the bells that people sound as they walk by. The temple was surrounded by lots of animals, from roosters, to cats and dogs. My sister explained to me that often dogs and cats live around temples since Buddhists will feed them. It is always hard to come from a country where there are no strays, however, at least these animals are looked after somewhat.
