While my parents were visiting a few weeks ago we dragged them on a rainy day walk through the Rain Forest Trail. We thought it was a good idea to walk through the forest since we would be mostly sheltered by the trees, however, it was still a little wet, but worth it! The trail follows a wooden boardwalk through the forest where you are able to walk among some of the largest trees on the West Coast. You'll have to duck under a couple of large fallen trees that now give life to millions of different plants. After some time you will come to some steps which will take you deeper into the forest with more views of the never ending rain forest that surrounds this beautiful and wet West Coast. Take it all in and breathe in the fresh and clean air these grand trees give us. A definite must when you visit Tofino or Ucluelet, a nice and quick walk and a change of scenery from the beaches. Be careful in the summer months as this forest is home to wildlife and where both Dave and I have spotted bears in the past few weeks.
