Dave and I had our first weekend without visitors or a trip planned in some time (probably 6 months.) We aren't complaining, we have loved the visitors but it was nice to just explore Ucluelet on our own for once. Saturday we decided to finally explore this housing development that never got built in Ucluelet called Wynd and Sea. It's sort of like a ghost town, with no houses built. So just a road that goes through the forest and winds around. I could imagine how beautiful the development could have been but it was also fun to just walk through with no one around. Of course I was a scaredy cat as always when there is potential for people living in the bush or wildlife. Dave managed to convince me to walk through most of it and we ended up on a little private beach, which was definitely worth it. After almost a month of rain, this sunny day was very welcome and it was nice exploring with each other. We headed to Zoe's Bakery and Cafe after to warm up with coffees and snacks. The perfect Saturday!
I paired this cozy knit cardigan I have been living in at work from the GAP with a silk tank I ordered from Topshop a few months back. I love how simple and cozy this cardigan is but if paired with a cute tank or dress it still looks great and a little more dressed up. This tank top is beautiful and so comfortable. I like wearing it with a lace bralette underneath from Aerie so I don't have to worry about bra straps, with the intentional look of it peeping through. Paired with skinny jeans it was the perfect outfit for a fun Saturday exploring, a little casual but still cute. Although I complain about this time of year and the cold, I love cozying up in something knit and warm.
