This mural of surfboards has been in the making for a little while now. Every time I drive by, the artists added something more, whether it was the outline of the boards or the great colours. It's nice to see something so colourful in town, especially on those very grey days we can get at this time of year on the wild and wet West Coast. Once the surfboards and paddle boards were finally finished I dragged Dave over to do a little West Coast themed shoot.
The weather dropped significantly the second it hit November and I have found myself reaching for toques, gloves and big scarves ever since. I'm even looking at buying a puffer jacket since it feels so much cooler here than in Victoria. You may recognize this plaid top from my Lusting After post. I recently purchased it online from Zara and absolutely love it. It's cozy and comfy like any other plaid, however, the bejeweled top give it a little something extra. On this cold afternoon I styled it with my favourite toque from River Island, my faux leather jacket from Topshop and my favourite jeans of the moment, also from Topshop. Although this look is quite casual, I definitely could see myself pairing this plaid shirt with a black leather mini for a night out for drinks. The top is the perfect mix of pretty and grunge.
